As Week 10 of the 2023 college football season passes by, the race for a Big 12 Conference championship is as fierce as ever.

Week 10 Winners:

UCF:

For the first time since conference play began, UCF has joined the Winners section after beating Cincinnati 28-26, making it the Knights' first win in the Big 12 Conference and extending the Bearcats' losing streak to seven games.

UCF stays home on Saturday to face the No. 15 Oklahoma State Cowboys, who are coming off a win over the Oklahoma Sooners in Bedlam.

Houston:

In a thrilling overtime finish, the Houston Cougars triumphed over the Baylor Bears 25-24 in Waco, Texas.

Cougars quarterback Donovan Smith was able to rush in for a 2-point conversion to put his team ahead on their possession in overtime, sealing the deal and giving Houston their second win in the Big 12 Conference.

Kansas:

The No. 19 Jayhawks moved to 7-2 for the season following a 28-21 win over Iowa State on Saturday, putting them in the position to play for a conference title if they win out.

But in the short-term, the Jayhawks will return to Lawrence to welcome Texas Tech on Saturday, with a chance to reach eight wins for the first time since their remarkable 2007 season under head coach Mark Mangino.

Oklahoma State:

In the final Bedlam matchup for the foreseeable future, the Cowboys were able to claw out a 27-24 win against the Sooners.

However, a controversial ending to the game may be what will be remembered most by fans, with a potential missed call for pass interference preventing the Sooners from taking a lead in the final moments of the game.

The Cowboys next opponent is UCF, who they play in Orlando at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Texas:

The No. 7 Texas Longhorns came out on top over Kansas State on Saturday, but it was close.

A late-game comeback by the Wildcats saw three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, sending the game into overtime.

Luckily for the Longhorns, they were able to get a stop on fourth down in overtime, ending the game 33-30 in their favor.

Next up for Texas, a trip to Fort Worth to face TCU on Saturday.

Texas Tech:

Winning 35-28 over the TCU, the Red Raiders were able to fend off the Horned Frogs in Lubbock on Saturday.

The team now has a tough opponent on deck, as they are set to travel on Saturday to Lawrence, Kansas to face the Jayhawks.

West Virginia:

Despite only completing 12 out of 24 attempted passes, West Virginia quarterback Garrett Greene led the Mountaineers in a 37-7 rout of the BYU Cougars.

The win pushes West Virginia into bowl-eligibility, and shows the team still has potential to put on a dominant display on the field.

The Mountaineers are now set to travel to Norman, Oklahoma to face the Sooners in Week 11.

Week 10 Losers:

Baylor:

The Bears fell to Houston in overtime, providing the Cougars their second win in the Big 12 Conference and making Baylor's chances of being bowl-eligible even slimmer.

The Bears do have three games left, but will need to win all three if they hope to compete in the postseason.

Their first opponent to face will be Kansas State, who the team will travel to meet in Manhattan, Kansas.

BYU:

Faced with a blowout loss to West Virginia, BYU is pushed to 5-4 this season, which is still a promising start for a team's first year in the Power 5.

BYU is set to return to Provo, Utah, to welcome Iowa State. With a win, the Cougars are set to become bowl-eligible this season.

Cincinnati:

Faced with seven-straight losses after falling to UCF on Saturday, the Bearcats are winless in the Big 12 Conference, and are unable to play in the postseason this year.

However, the Bearcats totaled with 515 total yards despite the loss, showing they still have room to grow as a conference newcomer.

Iowa State:

With a loss to the No. 19 Kansas Jayhawks, Iowa State still has another win to reach for if they hope to become bowl-eligible this season.

They'll have that chance when they face BYU in Provo on Saturday. That game begins at 9:15 p.m.

Kansas State:

A tough loss for the Wildcats, the team's third this season, should be a sign this team will fight even when they're down.

A fourth-quarter comeback was enough to send the Wildcats into overtime against Texas, but the Longhorns stopped them short of the goal-line on fourth down.

The team will have another chance to win when they return to Manhattan, Kansas to welcome Baylor on Saturday.

Oklahoma:

Ultimately a disappointment for the Sooners' last Bedlam game, Oklahoma showed their defense has gotten better while their offensive capabilities have slipped.

The Sooners have a chance to enter the Winners section for the first time since their narrow-win over UCF when they welcome West Virginia to Norman on Saturday.

TCU:

Our final team this week, the Horned Frogs weren't able to take the lead when they faced Texas Tech over the weekend.

With 52 attempted passed, Horned Frogs quarterback Josh Hoover only completed 32, albeit for 353 passing yards along the way.

TCU has three games left, and are 4-5 for the season, meaning they'll have to win at least two of their upcoming matchups to become bowl-eligible.

They'll have their first chance when they play Texas at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
