Tulsa’s largest hub for entrepreneurs is excited for the growth of small business owners in 2024.

The President of 36 Degrees North said there is potential in 2024 for people to make the transition from working for someone else, to starting their own business.

Devon Laney said due to the Fed pausing rate hikes, we may not see banks raise their interest rates.

This means it costs companies less to borrow money, which could add more support for new and small businesses.

36 Degrees North provides mentors and support to entrepreneurs. The company said it has generated an economic impact of $859.9 million over the last five years.

There are more than 25,000 members between its locations and 30 companies in the incubator, which focuses on early-stage tech startups.

Laney said they look forward to continuing their support toward business owners.

“In any community, small business and entrepreneurs are really the life of the economy. And you really got to cultivate growing new businesses and supporting the growth of new businesses. And that’s what we’re focused on at 36 Degrees North," Laney said.

Laney said they have events and programs planned throughout the year to benefit future entrepreneurs. CLICK HERE to learn more about 36 Degrees North.
