Tulsa-Area Racing Companies Partner Up To Make It Easier To Find Parts

A new partnership will make it easier for people who compete in local races like the Tulsa Shootout and this week's Chili Bowl Nationals.

Local racing company Driven Midwest has built its reputation in the micro racing industry but now, they're getting ready to start their engines in the midget car racing industry too.

Holley Hollan first got behind the wheel when she was 5 years old.

"I just grew up at the race track with my dad, he raced all my life so I grew up there," said Hollan.

But in 2021 she hung up her suit and moved to the business side of the track. Hollan is the Vice President of Driven Midwest, a micro car, and now midget car, parts distributor.

"When I raced I knew I gave it 110 percent whereas now I'm like okay with closing that chapter and putting 110 percent into the business."

Now, she says it's all coming full circle because she's teaming up with her old race coach and partnering her company with Keith Kunz Motorsports.

Kunz designed the Lynk chassis used on each car on his racing team this year at the Chili Bowl.

"You crash your car today and you need to go get a car and go racing tomorrow, you can go over there and get one, put it together, and go racing," said Keith Kunz.

He says it can take up to four months to order a chassis.

"You have to call so many different places to find the things that you need whereas with Holley and Driven Midwest, you can get everything at one place."

And Holley and Keith couldn't be more excited about what's next for the industry.

"The passion I believe both sides of the party play into it is huge and so yeah I think it's good for everybody for sure," said Hollan.

This is the first time the Lynk Chassis has been raced at the Chili Bowl and it has already won the first two nights on the track.
