The changing weather has created an interesting phenomenon in parts of Oklahoma.
Viewers sent us photos of "frost flowers" which can occur when the conditions are just right.
The temperature has to be below freezing but the ground still soft. The moisture in plant stems expands as it freezes, forming petals of ice.
News On 6 viewer, Denise found a whole field at Beavers Bend State Park.
You can pick them up but they're very delicate. When sunlight hits frost flowers they'll either melt or convert directly to water vapor, so they're usually visible only in the early morning.

Frost Flowers can come in a variety of types including frost columns, frost pillars or needle ice, ice ribbons, and "rabbit frost" or rabbit ice.
