At 26 years old, Harrison Moseby died way too young.

His pastor, Chris Wall, says he lived a life though that touched everyone around him.

"He was a young man that just walked with God and we all got to witness it and it made us all better," said Wall.

Wall, who is the senior pastor at First Baptist Owasso, first met Harrison several years ago as his family attended the church.

Harrison's wife, Mallory, also grew up there.

"Both of their families are in our church,” said Wall. “So it’s really a First Baptist love story."

The couple got married and Harrison became a Tulsa firefighter.

Shortly after the couple's first daughter, Harrison was diagnosed with a rare form of soft tissue cancer.

"When that diagnosis came about, our church gathered around Harrison and Mallory and prayed for them and just said we're going to walk with you every step," said Wall.

Those steps included an outpouring of support from not only the church but also Tulsa and the surrounding communities.

Facebook posts by his family kept people updated and blood drives were held in his honor.

As the cancer progressed, Wall says he had many personal talks with Harrison.

"He asked me why would I have these two girls and not get to raise them,” said Wall. “I said ‘You know Harrison, that's a tough question. That's a good question…I said your relationship with your girls is not just in this world. I said you're going to have an eternity in heaven with your whole family."

And, despite his sickness that eventually took his life, Wall says Harrison never lost his faith and he will always inspire him.

"He taught us how to live, he taught us how to die,” said Wall. “There's no greater gift than that right there."

Harrison's funeral is on January 31st at First Baptist Church of Owasso.

It starts at 10 am.
