Holland Hall head football coach Tag Gross announced this morning that he is retiring after 24 seasons at the helm of the Dutch. His retirement will be effective at the end of the school year. Gross graduated from Holland Hall in 1987 and was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.

Gross was named head coach of the Dutch in 1999 after winning five state titles as an assistant coach at Jenks.  He was just the third head coach in school history, following in the footsteps of Ed Hooker and Charlie Brown.

During his tenure at Holland Hall, he guided the Dutch to 157 career wins in 24 seasons. He led the Dutch to the 2005 Southwest Preparatory Conference title, the school's first in a decade, and six runner-up finishes. When the school became a member of the OSSAA eight years ago, he won 73 of those 157 wins and led the Dutch to eight straight playoff berths. He also captured four district titles and back-to-back 3A state titles in 2020 and 2021.

He coached 65 players that went on to play football collegiately.
