The Oklahoma Sooners face off against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday in one of the season's biggest games. The 120th Red River Rivalry kicks off today at 2:30 p.m. in Dallas.
Chris Williams joined us live in Dallas with the latest updates ahead of the intense matchup.
The atmosphere is already building as fans gear up for the game. The Texas State Fair is happening outside the Cotton Bowl Stadium, creating an even bigger crowd.
"It is just incredible even before the game starts; it's an impressive atmosphere, that's for sure," Willams said.
It will be a tough game for Oklahoma, and tensions are high. Texas is favored to win, but the Sooners are hoping for an upset.
It won't be easy. Several key players, including wide receivers Jayden Gibson and Jalil Farooq, are out for OU today due to injury.
"They have to take care of the ball on offense; they have to find a way to possess the ball on offense, which they have not done well all season long. And they need to find a way to make Texas turn the ball over because the Longhorns will hit some explosive plays today," Williams said.
One player to watch out for is OU safety Billy Bowman Jr.
"He's been quiet this year. He had a good game against Texas a season ago. Look for him to make a play, something to break the game wide-open," Williams said.
