The Oklahoma Attorney General's Office is appointing a special prosecutor to oversee a grand jury investigation of Grove city officials.
The district attorney for Craig, Rogers and Mayes counties was appointed to handle the case after Delaware County DA Eddie Wyant asked to recuse his office.
Wyant says he could be called as a witness in the investigation. Investigators are looking into whether Grove city manager Bill Gallety violated the state Open Meeting and Open Records acts and the Competitive Bidding Act. Mayor Carolyn Nuckolls and Councilor Dave Helms are also under investigation.
The grand jury is scheduled to convene April 24th.
