PETA Member Plans Circus Protest In Oklahoma City And Tulsa

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is expected to appear in a cage this week with her nude body painted like a tiger to protest the use of animals by the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

PETA member Jil Evans is planning to protest at an Oklahoma City intersection. Another member plans a similar protest in Tulsa later this week.

PETA claims the use of animals in the circus deprive them of their freedom and subject them to beatings and sometimes death.

The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus is scheduled to be in Tulsa June 6th and 7th and in Oklahoma City from June 9th through the 11th.
