Guthrie police officer arrested on charges of rape, lewd acts

GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) -- A Guthrie police officer is arrested and jailed after being charged with five counts of second-degree rape, two counts of lewd acts with a minor and one count of indecent proposal.
29-year-old officer Aaron Craig Lansdown was arrested by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, which Police Chief Damon Devereaux says conducted the investigation.
Lansdown was suspended pending the outcome of the charges. He was held in the Kingfisher County jail Wednesday in lieu of $70,000 bond.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in Logan County District Court.
