A London newspaper says the British-based company GKN is interested in buying the Boeing plants in Tulsa and Wichita.

An internal Boeing memo that was leaked earlier this month revealed that Boeing is looking at possibly selling the plants. The Sunday Times also quotes an analyst who says the two plants could sell for as much as $3-billion.

GKN bought a relatively small parts plant from Boeing in St. Louis four years ago.
