The city of Tulsa is looking to fill some part-time positions as school crossing guards. Tulsa provides escorts at crossings near many of the city's public schools and right now, city officials say they are having a difficult time finding enough applicants to fill all the available positions.

Officials say escorts earn $7.55 per hour and work three to five hours per day, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Applicants must be 21 or older and must have a telephone, a valid Oklahoma driver's license and reliable transportation. They must also have no criminal record.

Applicants can apply in person at the city of Tulsa's employment office in Room 105 at City Hall in downtown Tulsa.

More information can be obtained by calling the School Safety Coordinator's office at 596-9751.
