OKLAHOMA CITY -- A federal grand jury in Oklahoma City has indicted former State Senate President Pro Tem Mike Morgan on 63 counts of bribery and extortion.
Morgan is accused of accepting more than $400,000 worth of bribes during his time in office.
The indictments alleges Morgan received payments from multiple companies.
Those indictments allege Morgan received payments from a company that wanted to build a landfill, another that wanted to build a power plant and another that wanted to limit the state Health Department's regulation of assisted-living centers.
Morgan's attorney, David Ogle says the indictment is politically motivated.
Morgan is a Stillwater attorney.
