Two people were assisted from an SUV that ended up in Mingo Creek in Sunday afternoon's winter weather.
Police say the driver took a curve too fast near 36th and Mingo and skidded down an embankment into the water below. Emergency crews helped the driver and passenger from the water.
"They're in an ambulance basically just warming up because they got a little wet getting out of the car," said News On 6 storm spotter Mark Folta.
The vehicle came to rest on upright in the shallow water. Authorities at the scene blamed the wreck on driving too fast for road conditions.
