The Sand Springs Education Foundation struck again Monday, donating 80 iPads, and the charging carts to go with them, to Charles Page High School, the Charles Page Academy and Boyd Middle School.

That's $41,000 worth of technology, on the heels of last year's donation of 100 iPads and charging carts for the district's elementary schools.

The money for these kinds of grants is raised through fundraising, and the town always rallies around its schools.

"We may be a 6A school but we still have the very small town mentality, and it shows that the community has a heart for the students, a heart for learning and that they want to students to have a successful future," said Boyd Middle School Principal, Nancy Ogle.

Bill Knight, of Bill Knight Lincoln presented the Foundation with a $6,500 check Monday.

That money was raised last fall when 250 Sandites turned out on a cold Saturday to test-drive the new Lincoln line-up, earning a cash donation from Lincoln for each one.
