The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife says someone killed three deer during illegal night hunts. Wardens were patrolling in Haskell County near the Crooked Creek Ranch outside Stigler because of complaints about people hunting at night. They found a truck with three people, rifles, a shotgun and a spotlight.
The wardens also found hair and blood from a recently killed deer in the bed of truck. That led wardens to a house where they say they found the heads of three deer killed in the last two weeks.
The men now face charges. No names were released.
Wardens J.D. Stauffer and Allen Couch thanked the public for tips leading to the arrests.
