Tulsa will open the First Four as an underdog to Michigan when they face off against each other on Wednesday night.

But let's keep in perspective that Michigan lost to UConn and SMU significantly during the season while Tulsa split with both, so there's a little bit of opportunity and hope for TU as long as they defend the perimeter.

"They're really, really good in their first offense,” said Golden Hurricane Head Coach Frank Haith. “They got a lot of guys who can shoot the ball which makes them difficult to guard. I think one thing I've been trying to tell our guys is that they're going to make some shots; they just got to be contested."

TU Senior forward Rashad Smith says in order to win they have to play with a lot of confidence.

“Michigan is a really good team,” he stated. “They got a lot of good shooters. They're in a really great conference. They're a national team, one of those teams that’s really doing great.”

If Michigan has an advantage outside the arc, Tulsa has an advantage with its seniors.

Tulsa has nine and Michigan has two who are both out with injuries.

"I have much respect for the Tulsa program,” said Michigan Head Coach John Beilein. “I don't think we've had nine seniors total in the last four or five years together. So, there's a great amount of experience."

It’s Southern and Holy Cross Wednesday evening which sounds like a book novel before the Hurricane and Wolverine play later that night.
