Ever wonder how a fisherman turns his hobby into a career? Well one OSU senior is doing everything he can to make his goal of becoming a professional fisherman a reality.
"Been fishing tournaments for about four years," said Hunter Thiessen.
He is gonna be a senior at OSU; in fact, he's on the OSU fishing team.
He's really an outdoorsman at heart. When he's not fishing and hunting, he mows lawns.
"If I didn't have that lawn mowing company, there's no way I could do either of them. I picked the two most expensive hobbies there are," Thiessen said.
He'll graduate in May with a degree in entrepreneurship and minors in business management and marketing, all of it feeding into his plan to turn his hobby into a career.
If dedication and determination are good for anything, that professional career is just ahead. Of course, he could use a little luck, and a few sponsors.
