JOPLIN, Missouri - A person of interest in the assault of two people with a hammer at a Tulsa residence was arrested in Missouri.

Officers say 30-year-old Jose Diaz, AKA Bones, was arrested around 9:30 Friday morning in the Joplin bus station.

A news release says Tulsa Warrants received a tip of Diaz’s location and notified Joplin authorities. He was taken into custody by the Southwest Fugitive Apprehension Marshal Task Force.

Police want to talk to Diaz regarding an assault of two people believed to be assaulted with a hammer.
