A Tulsa man is in jail accused of sexually assaulting a woman, police say.
Police say they responded to an indecent exposure call near East 6th Street and Lewis around 5 p.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, police say they spoke with the victim and the witness.
The witness said he was driving by when he saw a naked woman being assaulted by a man, later identified as Luther McCombs. The witness said the victim was screaming “help” before McCombs fled to an abandoned dwelling.
After interviewing the victim, police determined she had been sexually assaulted.
McCombs was later taken into custody and booked on the charges of attempted rape, forcible sodomy, threatening a violent act, and assault and battery.
