Firefighters in Rogers County spent more that 6 hours overnight working to put out a huge house fire they believe was caused by Monday night's storms.
Firefighters said the fire was likely caused by a lightning strike around 10:30 p.m. Monday night at the home along East 340 Road, which is just east of Talala.
Multiple fire departments responded to this fire which firefighters said was whipped by 30 to 40 mph winds. Only the exterior walls are left of the home.
The flames could be seen from miles away, and the Rogers' County Sheriff's Office was called out to help keep traffic away from the home.
The owners were home when the fire started, but they were able to get out safely.
Firefighters said while some of them worked to put out the fire, others salvaged as many items as they could from the home.
