Tulsa emergency services confirms a man was hit by the trailer of a semi truck at an industrial park Tuesday morning.

Semi Truck Backs Over Man At Tulsa Industrial Park

A man is recovering after Tulsa firefighters say he was hit by a semi Tuesday at Coreslab Strategies near Apache and 129th East Avenue.

Firefighters say the accident happened toward the back of the property. First responders say the victim was loading items into the trailer when the driver accidentally started backing up.

Firefighters say the lower half of the man's body was crushed. He was quickly flown to a hospital and firefighters say the victim is alert and talking.

Stuart Steele says he came to check on his co-worker moments after the accident and he says this is one of the many risks they face every day on the job.

"We use all the safety equipment we can use and we train individuals to do this stuff but still, things can happen, you know? You're moving a lot of weight," said Steele.

The safety director at Coreslab says the victim works for another company and is not one of their employees.
