A North Kansas City, Missouri police officer took part in a unique highway rescue.
Officer Jason Smith was patrolling back in December - when he says saw a kitten perched on a concrete barrier.
He was able to rescue the kitten. Once inside the patrol car, the kitten went exploring and even accidentally set off the car's siren. Smith took the kitten to a shelter, and it has since been adopted.
