Police look for a burglar after a Tulsa business was broken into early Friday.

Burglar Damages Tulsa Rocket Lube Car Wash

Tulsa Police hope surveillance video will lead to the arrest of the man who they say broke into a Brookside business and stole the cash drawer.

The general manager of Rocket Lube & Wash at 4529 South Peoria was able to get all of the glass picked up, but plastic was still in place where the burglar broke in. Surveillance video shows the thief breaking in and going straight to the cash register.

The burglar tried to pry it open before he ripped out the cash drawer. Police say he went out the back door and ran off.

General manager Tim Rollyson says an alarm company notified him as soon as the thief smashed in the glass. Rollyson says the register had only a few dollars in change in it, but the burglar left them with hundreds of dollars in damage.

"We lose way more than anybody will ever gain, you know. There's nothing in here to profit from, you know? There just isn't.

"We're not a retail store with expensive things," said Rollyson.
