Tulsa Police arrested a Kellyville man on drug and stolen vehicle complaints after a pursuit Monday afternoon. A police officer on patrol said he spotted a Ford F150 truck blocking the roadway at 1300 South Atlanta Avenue around 12:30 p.m.
When he went back to check on the truck, the officer said the driver took off and sped away, running stop signs. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Daniel Cory Anderson, pulled over near 2700 East 14th Street and ran, an arrest report states.
The arresting officer said he saw Anderson throw away a small backpack and a large knife. The backpack had several baggies with residue that tested positive for methamphetamine as well as a syringe and scales, according to police.
Police say the truck had been stolen out of Bixby, and Anderson had three warrants out for his arrest. Anderson was booked on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance after felony conviction, eluding and possession of drug paraphernalia.
