73 Veterans Return To Tulsa Aboard Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight

A patriotic crowd of family and friends gathered at the Tulsa airport, welcoming Honor Flight veterans returning from Washington DC.

One of the oldest on the trip, Leon Campbell, said, “Maybe we didn’t see everything, but we saw a lot, and so, I say I guess it was worth going.”

While waiting, Leon’s relative, Alma Fisher told us, “He was so excited, he said he didn’t think he slept a wink last night.”

They were excited to see monuments honoring the men and women that fought and died for our country.

“Of course, there’s a lot of things that make you feel sad, see all the names... where they died,” said Campbell, reflecting on lasting impressions that bring it all home.
