Police say two men were tackled by an apartment resident after officers say the pair alleged broke into the resident's Tulsa apartment Saturday afternoon.

The pair are identified as 26-year-old Mark Williams and 51-year-old Combs Whitaker.

Officers were called to the apartment in the 4900 block of South Braden just before 12:30 p.m. after a resident said he returned home, interrupting a burglary.

Police entered the apartment as Williams and Whitaker were climbing out a bedroom window.  Officers said the resident and witnesses saw the two men and gave chase, catching up to them and holding them for police.

Police say several items allegedly taken in the burglary were recovered and Mark Williams and Combs Whitaker were booked into the Tulsa County jail on second degree burglary complaints.
