Veterans at the University of Tulsa now have a new resource to help with their education.
The university dedicated its Student Veteran Success Center Tuesday night. It's a place where veterans and other students connected to the military can apply for admission, consult with staff about V.A. benefits and talk to career counselors.
The university wants it to be a home away from home where student veterans can go to talk with each other.
"They can meet their needs as a group together, and having that space where they can get together, meet those needs together, is very beneficial," veteran Vincent Rodriguez said.
TU has been nationally recognized as a military-friendly school.
