TPD Searching For Driver That Ran Across Interstate After Traffic Stop

Tulsa Police are looking for a driver they said ran across several lanes of traffic on Interstate 44 near Lewis after a traffic stop.

Officers said the man is wanted on felony warrants. His name has not been released.

Police looked through a white Saturn sedan before towing it away from the eastbound shoulder of the interstate between Lewis and Harvard.

According to police, officers initiated the traffic stop and learned the driver had felony warrants.

Police said the driver got out of the car and ran across the interstate. Officers are searched the area for three hours with K-9 officers helping.

Police did not say what the warrants are for. The name of the driver has not been released.
