For the first time, Oklahoma voters can update some of their voting information online, making it easier and more convenient to keep your information up to date.
Before, if you wanted to update voting information, you'd have to either do it in person or print out a form and mail it in, but, as of Monday, voters wanting to change their party affiliation should be able to do it online.
Voters can also update their mailing address, as long as it's in the same county. If you want to register to vote or change your address out of county you still have to it the old-fashioned way - in person or through the mail.
The Election Board said this is a good first step to implementing the state's online voter registration system.
In 2015, lawmakers authorized the State Election Board to create the system allowing residents to register online instead of filling out a paper form.
The system won't be available until at least 2020.
