There are several fun events happening around Green Country over the next few days.
Tulsa’s Gathering Place is officially opening Saturday morning. The grand opening ceremonies and parade begin around 8:30 a.m. Even after opening day, festivities will continue! The park has events planned to keep the celebrations going for the next 100 days. You can find a schedule of events and activities here.
Wizard World Comic Con in Tulsa. The event is being held at the Cox Business Center. You can meet some of your favorite stars or go to entertainment workshops. Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Then starting Wednesday and running through next weekend, head out to the Tulsa Air and Space Museum to check out the B-29 Superfortress, Fifi, as well as other World War 2 aircraft, like the P-51, C-45, T-6, and PT-13. You can find more details, and even schedule a ride, here.
Also at TASM, there will be a ‘40s Hangar Dance on Friday, September 14th. There will be a swing band, wine and bourbon tasting, vintage aircraft and vehicles, and more. The event runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m. You can find more details here.
