Drivers Cited For No License, Insurance After Wreck Involving Tulsa Police Car

An off-duty police officer was involved in a multi-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, an off-duty officer was slowing for traffic in the southbound lanes of Highway 169.

They said the vehicle behind the patrol car slowed down, but a third vehicle did not see the others slowing down and crashed into the car in front of it, which crashed into the patrol car.

Police said the driver of the second vehicle was cited for no insurance and no driver’s license. The vehicle police said caused the crash was cited for going too fast for condition, no driver’s license, no insurance and no proper child restraint.
