Former Creek County Deputy Charged With Embezzlement

The Creek County Sheriff's Office said one of their former deputies has been arrested and charged with embezzlement.

Investigators said Steven Rains was the president of the Creek County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 213.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said a fellow lodge member reported more than $8,300 was missing from the FOP account.

Investigators said bank statements and ATM surveillance photos showed Rains had been taking money from the lodge's account.
