Former Vinita Teacher Convicted Of Child Sexual Abuse Sentenced To Prison

A former Vinita second grade teacher will spend 25 years in prison for molesting an 8-year-old student in 2015.

In May 2018, a Craig County jury convicted 49-year-old Ronald Manners of child sexual abuse.

Prosecutors say Manners, who taught at Hall-Halsell Elementary school asked the victim's mother if the girl could come over to play with the kids, and the victim's mother didn't know that Manners' wife or other children would not be present.
