Claremore Man Arrested For Attempting To Shoot His Sister

A Claremore man is behind bars a dispute with his sister over their late father's estate turned violent.

Claremore Police say Shawn Flowers shot out the back window of his sister’s car here at their late father’s business.

The shooting happened Friday at Mike's Tire shop. Police say Shawn's sister, Angela Flowers, was inside when she heard the glass shatter.

Officers say at the same time she also saw her brothers truck pass by. Investigators say surveillance video also shows Shawn's truck passing in front of the business at the time of the shooting.

Police tell us Shawn was arrested moments later at a nearby Dollar General. Officers say they found a BB Pistol charged with CO2 and loaded with BB's in his truck.

“There is an ongoing issue between parties in regard to their late father’s estate and this has been an ongoing problem," said Sgt. Mark Book.

Shawn Flowers is in jail on complaints of Forgery and shooting with intent to kill.
