The newly renovated O'Brien Recreation Center is officially opening its doors to the public.
Thanks to the Vision Tulsa tax package, $2.1 million worth of improvements were made in just over 18 months. The renovations include changes to the inside, outside, and the addition of a splash pad.
"Every area of the county, the city needs a good quality park for the citizens. To me it's important. It's quality of life to have a good quality park," said County Commissioner Mike Craddock.
The re-opening was celebrated with a tour of the facility, games for all ages, crafts, and a cookout. The park is located at 6149 N. Lewis Ave. You can find a list of activities here.
