Residents are expressing some safety concerns about State Highway 97 and 81st Street in Creek County.
A recent survey shows an increase in traffic in that area.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Creek County officials gathered to discuss possible solutions, like adding a traffic signal.
“We’re also looking at additional signage that could be placed, additional warning devices, really just looking at anything that we can do on the highway to help warn drivers of some of these interchanges,” said Kenna Mitchell from ODOT.
The county says that until they find a solution, drivers should stay alert and take their time.
