Tulsa Man Arrested After Leading Police On A Destructive Chase

Tulsa Police Department says a man is behind bars after leading officers on a chase early Sunday morning.

According to TPD, officers attempted to pull over Christopher Cooper around 4 a.m. for driving with no headlights. Cooper sped off heading north on S Peoria Ave.

Officers say Cooper weaved around other vehicles and reached speeds close to 100 mph before crashing the vehicle into a fence at 5105 S Columbia Ave. Cooper reportedly fled on foot after the crash, police located him behind a bush nearby.

Police later confirmed that the vehicle was stolen, and Cooper does not have a valid driver’s license. Cooper was booked on several complaints including of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Resisting Arrest.
