Tulsa Police say a woman was home alone Thursday afternoon when a burglar broke into her home. Officers were called to the home near Pine and North Harvard around 2:20 p.m.

The woman said she heard someone trying to break into her house and hid in the closet with her dogs.

Police tell us the suspects attempted to steal a TV but dumped it on the back porch. The woman was able to call 911 as soon as they left and police responded quickly to the address. They say the burglars weren’t able to make it too far and the woman gave a good description so they were able to find one of the suspects a few blocks away.

"We asked the young lady if she could do a show up which is when we show the victim the suspect to see if they match. Her description of whether he was a suspect was definitely which is pretty good for us,"  said Officer Josh Goldstein.

The man was positively identified by the victim and transported to DL Moss for questioning. Police says they are attempting to locate other suspects at this time but they didn’t know exactly how many people were involved at the time.

No one was hurt in the break-in.
