Man Dies After SUV Collides With Horse-Drawn Carriage Near Warner

<p>The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an elderly man in a horse drawn carriage died after he was struck by an SUV in Muskogee County Wednesday afternoon.</p>

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an elderly man in a horse-drawn carriage died after he was struck by an SUV in Muskogee County Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers say the 3:11 p.m. crash which killed 72-year-old Billy Rogers remains under investigation.

The OHP report states the driver of the 2003 Chevy Tahoe, 28-year-old Corey Collins of Henryetta was not injured.

Troopers say the crash happened on Highway 266 southwest of Warner.  The carriage and SUV were both westbound at the time.

No word in the OHP report about the condition of the horse.
