One Dead After Rollover Crash In Rogers County

<p>One person is dead after a crash in Rogers County near 66th Street North and 193rd East Avenue.</p>

One person is dead after a crash in Rogers County.

The crash happened Saturday morning near 69th Street North and 193rd East Avenue.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Matthew Darrough of Owasso was driving on 193rd East Avenue and left the roadway for an unknown reason.

Troopers say he over-corrected and struck a rock, causing the vehicle to roll over.

They say Darrough was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Trooper Aaron Riggs praised some of the neighbors in the area who jumped in to try to help the man.

"It's hard enough to wake up in the morning, nonetheless to see a major accident that somebody just lost their life.  So, hats completely off," he said.  "I commend them for their efforts and trying to make a difference in someone's life.  Whether that's possible or not in this situation, it's the effort that really matters.  It's the though that counts."

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
