Ingredients:

  • 4 pounds ground Burger Meat
  • 1 white sweet onion thin sliced
  • 1 Tomato Thin Sliced
  • 1 Bunch of Green Leaf Lettuce- Both Leaves and Shredded
  • Dill Pickle Slices
  • 8 slices of American Cheese
  • Bottle of Oklahoma Joe’s Steak & Burger Maker
  • Mayonnaise
  • Spicy Brown Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Oklahoma Joe’s Original BBQ Sauce
  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 8 burger buns

Directions:

  1. Form the burgers into thin 1/4 pound patties
  2. Sprinkle Steak & Burger Rub lightly on both sides
  3. Preheat your Oklahoma Joe Smoker to 275 degrees using 5 pounds of charcoal plus mesquite and hickory chunks in the firebox
  4. Slow smoke the burger patties at 275 degrees using indirect heat away from the fire box or flame on the gas grill side
  5. If you are using the charcoal grill side of your Longhorn Combo build your fire to one side of the grill so you cook with indirect heat and smoke.
  6. Smoke for about 45 minutes
  7. You will not need to flip the burger since you are cooking with indirect heat
  8. Serve on a buttered and grilled bun
