Rogers County prosecutors have charged a Claremore couple with child abuse.
According to police, a 9-year-old boy told a teacher that his stepfather, John Forrester, kicked him in the chest, punched him in the stomach, and spanked him with a wooden paddle.
His mother, Brittany Barnecik, is charged with enabling abuse.
