Police arrested a truck driver who they say had taken off his clothes and was allegedly high on drugs after a crash at 51st and Harvard Tuesday evening.
Following that crash, police say the driver, identified as 32-year-old Elbert Kennon sped off, heading the wrong way on Skelly Drive before eventually stopping his truck in the 8800 block of South Riverside Drive.
They say that is when Kennon got out of his truck and ran into a nearby mobile home park. Police caught up him at a drainage ditch and arrested Kennon after they say he had taken off all of his clothes.
"A lot of times they will take their clothes off. he probably took his clothes off right there in the trailer park or as he was running through, down into the ravine to get away from police," said TPD Sgt. Kurt Dodd.
Police say it appeared Elbert Kennon was high on PCP. They say Kennon was acting so erratic, that paramedics had to sedate him on the scene. They say the officers who were hurt in the process are going to be OK.
EMSA took him to the hospital and once he is released, Kennon will be booked into the Tulsa County jail.
