New Apartments Planned Near Busy Tulsa Intersection

A request for rezoning will be discussed at the Tulsa Metropolitan Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday.

The rezoning would cover the intersection of 11th and Peoria, where the Corner Cafe is located. No word on what that means for the Corner Cafe, but the building behind the restaurant is being gutted.

Also up for discussion at that meeting is the proposed Route 66 overlay that could impact the area as well.

The major aim of the overlay is to promote neon signs along with new development, to bring back the feel of the Route 66 from decades ago.
