Surveillance video caught the moment someone broke into a Tulsa business, throwing a brick through the front door.
That person then ripped out the cash drawer and ran away, leaving behind $600 in damage.
Police think the same thief broke into another business, as well.
The co-owner of Barbee Cookies is speaking out in the hopes that someone will recognize the suspect and call police.
Surveillance video shows the man pulling up in a maroon vehicle before throwing a brick through a window at Barbee Cookies near 81st and Memorial early Monday morning.
In the video, a man can be seen taking a cash drawer with about $150 inside and, within just seconds, he is back out the door.
"I looked at the camera that points to the front door and I'm like, ‘shoot, the front door shattered,’" said founder and co-owner Kat Graham.
Within minutes, Graham and her husband were on scene with Tulsa Police.
"They are fantastic and met us here checked things out," she said.
"Saw how just violent it all just took place, with the guy taking the brick, smashing through the front door, and then comes over here and takes the top of my POS system off, grabs the cash drawer, just pulls it out the door," stated Graham.
Tulsa Police say a similar incident happened at a Subway just down the road and they believe the two are related. Graham says between the damage, the lost cash drawer, and the money she's out about $600, but says this could have been much worse.
"We're super thankful,” said Graham. “No bakers were injured. Nothing else was destroyed."
In the meantime, Graham hopes this person does not strike again.
"I just hope they feel some type of remorse and conviction,” she says. “More so, not repeat the action again."
If you recognize the person or the vehicle, call Tulsa Police Department.
