The Creek County Sheriff’s Office is praising one of its deputies for helping to free a deer.

Deputy Michael Marcum was called out to a home where a deer got stuck trying to hop a fence.

He first covered the deer’s head with a blanket, then stood on a ladder to help free its back legs.

The deer fell to the ground and ran off.

This same deputy also saved a bee hive from a grass fire two weeks ago.
