Toddler Hurt Falling Off Tractor In Mayes County

A 2-year-old boy was hurt Friday when he fell from a tractor in Mayes County late Friday morning. He was riding with his grandfather when the tractor hit something in the road, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers weren't sure how badly the child was injured, but a helicopter came to take him to the hospital in Tulsa.

Trooper Colby Overstreet said OHP temporarily closed Highway 28 at County Road 429 to land the helicopter.
