Straight-line winds caused some significant damage in Tulsa Wednesday night. The National Weather Service surveyed the damage and said it did not display the pattern that would indicate a tornado.
A large tree split in half during the storms - falling across 19th Street near Quincy Avenue. The tree smashed a car parked along the curb.
It fell on the driver's side of the vehicle, breaking windows and crushing the roof.
We also saw a mangled metal mess where the storm knocked down a canopy-like structure near 5th and Frankfort. Police put up caution tape in the area until it could be cleaned up. There were no reports of any injuries.
