It was a night of drinking at the Tulsa Zoo on Friday, but all for a good cause.
The zoo held its first-ever beer tasting event, Conservation on Tap.
More than 20 Oklahoma breweries showcased their crafts.
All of the proceeds go to “Save the Wild Chinchillas,” a non-profit dedicated to restoring habitat for the critically endangered animal.
“They’re a really, highly endangered mammal and they are an animal that needs our help,” said Richard Kotarsky, from the Tulsa Zoo. “The non-profit that oversees the conservation of those critters in the wild, they are a real small operation.”
If you weren’t able to make it out to the event, you can still help by going to the zoo! It supports those conservation efforts with revenue from membership and admissions.
